The mother of the deceased boys, Nancy Iskander, expressed anger and frustration over Grossman’s actions, stating that she had shown no remorse or mercy during the legal proceedings and had even used strategies to delay the sentencing hearing.

A Los Angeles socialite who murdered two young boys after hitting them with her car was sentenced to 15 years in prison for her crimes.

The sentence came after Rebecca Grossman asked the judge to “take her suffering into account” when handing down the sentence.

Grossman, 60, said she was “not a murderer” and said the pain she caused her family and the families of the two dead youths were “punishments I already endure.”

She was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder for the deaths of Mark Iskander, 11, and his brother Jacob Iskander, 8, after a six-week trial. She learned her fate in prison during a court hearing on Monday.

Grossman was engaged in a “high-speed game of chicken” with her lover, former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Scott Erickson. The pair had been drinking cocktails at a nearby bar prior to the incident.

“I am not a murderer and I ask you to acknowledge that fact,” Grossman wrote in a letter to Supreme Court Justice Joseph Brandolino, obtained by The New York Post.

“My pain, my recognition of the pain the Iskanders suffer, and the pain I see my family endure, are punishments I am already suffering and will suffer for the rest of my life. Please consider this suffering when you consider what further punishment you wish to impose on me in this case.”

Her lawyers have argued that she should have her probation revoked.

“I can only imagine the pain that (the boys’ parents) Nancy and Karim Iskander are feeling minute by minute,” Grossman wrote. “I will carry my pain with me for the rest of my life.”

The socialite also sent a bizarre letter to the Iskanders, obtained by the Daily Mail, in which she said she would have driven her car “into a tree” if she had the chance, to prevent the tragedy.

Despite her claims, the boy’s mother, Nancy Iskander, said the socialite had treated her family like “enemy number one in the world” after fighting several times to have the sentencing stayed.

According to Iskander, the socialite had used multiple “strategies,” including creating conflicts of interest, to postpone the hearing, which was originally scheduled for April 10.

“The problem became that every time we try to move on and get to that next step, the legal system or Ms. Grossman, or both, brings us back into the fight, back into the fight for justice,” Ms. Iskander said. to Fox News Digital last month.

“It’s horrible, to say the least. She hasn’t expressed any remorse, but more importantly, she hasn’t even shown mercy… I felt like she had many opportunities to show mercy, plead guilty, or figure out a way to end the process of the fight. shorten it, without having to take me back into the courtroom again and again.

“But she didn’t. She has had many opportunities to show mercy and she showed no mercy to my family, in fact, she only shows hatred… as if we are the number one enemy in the world.”
