The plan includes drain cleaning, emergency evacuation, and the establishment of relief camps. An awareness campaign has been launched to alert the public about monsoon risks. The Health Minister briefed on medical camps, vaccination against snakes, and epidemic diseases. The Livestock Minister provided details about vaccination and feed for animals in camps. The Assistant Commissioner instructed district commissioners to clean rivers and canals. Encroachments on riverbeds will be removed. All districts have been directed to complete river cleaning by July 10th. The meeting emphasized the need for coordination between various departments to ensure a swift and effective response to any emergencies during the monsoon season.

Nabil Javed, Punjab Disaster Relief Commissioner, chaired a meeting at the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to discuss river cleaning, emergency evacuations and preparations for setting up relief camps.

Irfan Ali Kathia, Director General of the PDMA, briefed the participants on the contingency plan for monsoon and possible floods, including drain cleaning, emergency evacuation and emergency measures.

Kathia said an awareness campaign has been launched in view of the monsoon rains and possible flooding.

The Minister of Health gave a briefing on medical camps, vaccination against snakes and epidemic diseases.

The livestock minister gave details about vaccination and dry feed for animals in camps.

The Assistant Commissioner issued instructions to the DCs of Sialkot and Rawalpindi regarding cleaning of rivers and canals. He also directed the commissioners of Rawalpindi, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Gujranwala to visit the rivers.

Assistant Commissioner Nabil Javed said the operation should be carried out against encroachments on the riverbeds.

He directed authorities in all districts to complete cleaning of rivers by July 10.
