Wright played three seasons for the Trojans, posting his best performance in 2022. Throughout his three years, he recorded 41 tackles, 30 solo tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception, and five passes deflected. Wright was a highly touted recruit out of Loyola High School in Los Angeles. Ranked as the No. 6 cornerback and No. 75 overall prospect in the 2021 class, he was the No. 5 player in California. In addition to football, Wright is also an actor and model. He has appeared in films such as “Space Jam 2” and TV shows like “Adult-Like.” He has a significant social media following of over 68,000. Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt believes Nebraska has the potential to be a strong team in 2024, especially if they improve their quarterback play. Wright played three seasons for the Trojans, setting personal bests in 2022. Over the course of three years, Wright totaled 41 tackles, 30 solo tackles, one tackle for loss, one interception and five passes deflected.

As a member of the Class of 2021, Wright was a four-star recruit out of Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average using all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 5 overall prospect in the state, the No. 6 cornerback in the class and the No. 75 overall prospect in the class.

The former top-100 prospect and four-star recruit in the 2021 class has been out of the Trojans since last fall. He also wasn’t listed for the spring. His last appearance at USC was against Notre Dame mid-October.

“I don’t do that. I don’t do that. He’s not here right now. That’s all I can say about it,” USC head coach said Lincoln Riley said at the time.

Wright has always been an actor and model, appearing in several films, TV shows and commercials. He played the son of LeBron James in “Space Jam 2” in 2021 as well. He also appeared in the ABC comedy Adult-like.

Off the field, Wright has a social media following of over 68,000. During his senior year at Loyola High School, he was the center of a “Double Threatdocumentary produced by After a while.

Now he’ll get a fresh start at Nebraska under head coaching Matt Rhule.

Ceyair Wright Part of Nebraska’s Restoration?

With Wright joining the Huskers, it could be a good time for the veteran defensive back. Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt has high confidence in Nebraska heading into the 2024 campaign.

“Nebraska has a team that I think can be really good,” Klatt said on his show. “They were 5-7 a year ago. And you look at those seven losses, I’ll tell you, they were all quarterback turnovers, almost all of them. They were very competitive, in fact much more competitive in Matt Rhule’s first season than their 5-7 record indicates.

“(If) they get a little bit better quarterback play and just protecting the football, they’ll be a lot better. He’s a builder.”
