The best melodic house tracks of June 2024

The+best+melodic+house+tracks+of+June+2024

We’re back with the second edition of the best melodic house track to hit the radio in a given month. This time we turn our attention to the best melodic house tracks of June 2024. There were a lot of great producers on this list with a fairly small following. I love scouring the internet for these up and coming producers to highlight them in a list like this.

And while some of the biggest acts in the game, like Floating Points and Rodriguez Jr., had insanely good music to highlight, isn’t it more fun to find lesser-known artists today? Especially when Spotify presents you with artists you’ve probably already heard of, let’s use this as a platform to find new, undiscovered artists who, we hope, will be the next big thing.

So follow the playlist. It contains the best tracks released each month and is a place where I can save the songs I’m considering throughout the month and which might end up on the end of the month list.

Enemy – Atrym

Magneitc’s second release welcomes Atrym to the label family with a driving, vocal-chop driven melodic house track. With a heavy emphasis on songwriting and sound selection, this track breaks the mold in a genre that is as often considered oversaturated as melodic house can seem.

With a handful of notable releases lined up over the coming months, Atrium is definitely an artist to watch, both for this release and in the weeks to come.

Falling – Fabian Sprung, Yasola

The second song to be included in the Best Melodic House Music of June 2024 is a deeper and groovier song by Fabian Sprung and Yasola. It’s no secret that melodic house music thrives on a good vocal line and warm pianos and this song completely knocks those two elements out of the park.

What I like most about the song is that the vocals have a certain meaning, which helps capture the emotional qualities and story of the song. This makes it stand out from the sea of other songs in the niche and easily earns a place on this chart.

Something You Said – Mosoo, Florence

This track is a bit more of a club track than the rest of the songs in the Best Melodic House Music chart of June 2024, but we could all use a little extra energy, right?

The syncopated arp line that weaves its way through the vocal chops and repetition is mesmerizing and helps carry this song from start to finish as the rest of the instrumentation builds around it. While it may seem more club-oriented, the way Mosoo controls the energy during the builds and drops helps to convey the core ideas of this song quickly, fluidly and smoothly without becoming too loud or too soft.

Where we are – Gus One, Café De Anatolia

We’ve been big fans of so much of what Cafe De Anatolia has released over the years, and I’m all for their foray into the more arp-driven melodic house genres. It’s a big departure from their more world-influenced organic house music that they’ve been a huge pioneer of.

A tasteful mix of pianos and synths help drive the song forward in an emotional way, which works just as well in the club as it does when simply listening to your speakers. It’s a masterclass in the genre. That massive bassline that comes in during the drop sections works wonders, making the song a highlight and adding a heavy impact to the more sentimental parts of the song.

World Wide Web – Life Symbols Remix

If this song just had that first arp run, that would be enough for me. It’s utterly mesmerizing, and I can’t get enough of it, but when the more up-tempo beat kicks in, you know you’re in for something different and a little more special than what the rest of this month has been.

The syncopated bassline is melodic, but also has a bit of underground swagger, making for a song that is unique and original. I’ve been listening to this song on repeat for days, and I can’t quite put my finger on why I find it so freaking dope…. but it just is, and I think that should be enough for me (for now).

Soso – Aston Alba & Titoffee remix

Working with the Kabusa Oriental Choir was the best decision these producers ever made. The captivating and hymn-like vocal lines make this song stand out and as incredible as it is.

The percussion and repetitive bassline provide a very strong foundation for the song, but the vocals, which slowly develop and continue over the top throughout the song, keep it fresh and forward-thinking. The arps and melodies are simple and effective, keeping all your attention on the vocals, and I just can’t get enough of them.

Nisat – Extended – TsuruSwing, Towa Ainutronica

This track is back to a more club-friendly vibe, but the dazzling melodic elements keep every bar of groove and beat sounding fresh and evolving. I love the global influences that TsuruSwing and Towa Ainutronica brought to this track, allowing the sitar-like sounds to slowly develop and expand from start to finish.

Having an 8 minute song that you can listen to from start to finish is no small feat, even in today’s world, but these two artists make it look easy, which is why this song easily fits into June’s Best Melodic House Music 2024. chart we’ve been working on all month.

Gooze – porl

I’m shocked that these two guys only have less than 500 monthly listeners on Spotify (at least as I write this article). If their track “Gooze” is indicative of the skill these guys can deliver in the studio, I wouldn’t be surprised if they get noticed by much bigger labels in the next year or two.

They have the texture and sonic aesthetic of artists with a much higher profile, and this song is simply mesmerizing, period.

Listen to the song and give these guys a follow. Make sure you follow them closely because I think they’re onto something special with this song and their entire discography (which currently consists of their debut album, which is where this song comes from).

Homily – DIM KELLY, Mondingo

All Day I Dream is a leading label in the world of melodic house. Almost everything they release could easily fit on this list of the best music in this genre.

I’ve been a fan and acquaintance of DIM KELLY for a year or more, and everything he releases, whether on Lee Burridge’s ADID or other labels, is a real class act, and “Homily” is no exception. While I wanted to give this song the platform it deserves on this chart, that was always why it earned itself the Artist Of The Week: DIM KELLY feature mid-month when this song was released.

Well done buddy!

Appricatie – HYPER-TRUST

The rolling percussion and sustained bassline draw you in from the start, but once the layers of melody like the pads, strings, and other elements kick in, it’s impossible not to listen to “Aprication.”

It’s another one of those songs that you can’t put your finger on why I can’t stop listening to it, but I think I’ve single-handedly given this song 20 streams since it came out three weeks ago. It’s an incredible piece of work that really encapsulates the whole HYPERCONFIDENCE ethos of writing music that captures a specific moment in time.

Twilight Language – Rodriguez Jr.

No meldoic house chart would be complete without Rodriguez Jr.’s latest cut. And while this maestro’s sound design and sample selection often border on club-beer flavors that might even push him outside of the genre itself, the harmonies and chords that always sit in the background of all his tracks create a world that’s impossible not to get lost in, and that’s why he’ll almost always have a place in my heart and on the charts we compile.

Dance Till Dawn – Jam Companion

Rodriguez Jr’s more club and electronic-oriented tune above is the perfect transition into this song, as “Dance Till Dawn” is more on the uptempo and energetic side of the melodic house vibe. Still, I couldn’t resist recording it, with its retro-style synths and soaring melodies that caught my attention and wouldn’t let go. It’s a masterclass in simplicity and punch-through minimalism, while at the same time being gently melodic and overall unforgettable.

My Eyes Fail – Toto Chiavetta, Trenton

Moving into the more intense flavors of the meldoic house genre, “My Eyes Are Failing” brings more aggression in its sound selection and instrumentation. This is mainly due to the vocals, which are haunting and atmospheric, with the bassline pulsing below and the bending synths above creating a disjointed tension, which is the backbone of the song’s more aggressive vibe (at least for me).

This all works to build the energy with tension, which is released in a softer way than you might expect, which was pleasantly surprising and really made this song stand out for me.

Del Oro – Floating Points

Floating Points is another group, similar to Rodriguez Jr., that is hard not to mention and is featured almost every time they have a release. We have written about them countless times on the site and they deserve it for no other reason than they are simply perfection.

And even though the secondary track on this EP, “Birth4000,” has already reached almost two million plays in less than a month, I think people are sleeping on “Del Oro.” Sure, the more popular release could also fit efficiently into this list, and I guess in a way it does, but ‘Del Oro’ has a lot more unique percussion and a fantastic groove that will hit you in the chest, feet and heart hits. , and soul.

Wilting – Tijn Driessen

Let’s end the list with a tasteful breakbeat melodic house track, because how else could we do it all justice?!

Tijn Driessen is one of those insanely good producers who has less than 10,000 monthly listeners, and I just don’t know how; he is incredibly talented and has such a unique and striking sound in a genre as messy and often monotonous as meldoic house and Wilting is a testament to his talent and individuality. So check it out and follow the playlist at the top of this article to stay up to date with all the best songs in the genre, so you never get caught sleeping on another artist on Tijn Driessen’s level again.
