Monty Python member and comedy legend Eric Idle brings his brand new one-man show Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, Live! to the Vogue Theater on September 14.
The Vancouver stop is the only Canadian date on Idle’s tour. Tickets are on sale now.
The show, written and executive produced entirely by Idle, will feature never-before-seen skits, original songs, jokes, “the humorous wisdom that comes with being a living legend, and exactly one fart joke,” according to a statement.
Fans of Monty Python will know that the name of Idle’s new show is the title of the song he performs in the iconic Crucifixion scene at the end of the controversial (at the time) and beloved 1979 film Monty Python’s Life of Brian. film stars Pythoner Graham Chapman as Brian of Nazareth, a simple guy who is mistaken for the Messiah.
