Format and Team Selection Teams were assigned to groups based on a new format that ensures broader regional representation. They were first sorted into five pools based on their performance in previous tournaments, including the PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL), Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL), PUBG MOBILE Pro Series (PMPS), PUBG MOBILE Rivals Cup (PMRC), and PUBG MOBILE Japanese League (PMJL). Teams were then randomly drawn from these pools, ensuring that each group consists of eight teams. This process aimed to prevent a disproportionate representation of any particular country within a single group. Tournament Structure The group stage will see teams compete within their respective groups to qualify for the main tournament. The top 12 teams will advance, while the bottom 12 will have a second chance in a survival stage alongside four teams that placed 5th in regional PMSL tournaments. The top four teams from the survival stage will rejoin the others in the main draw. This crucial stage of the tournament saw 24 teams split into Groups Red, Green and Yellow, where they will now battle to remain in the first international event of its kind. With this highly anticipated competition in full swing, fans can tune in to the excitement of this decisive phase of the tournament.

The PUBG MOBILE World Cup (PMWC) brings a new group stage format, with more regions represented in each tournament stage. Teams were split into five unique pools based on their regional placements PUBG MOBILE Super League (PMSL) events, the Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL), PUBG MOBILE Pro Series (PMPS), PUBG MOBILE Rivals Cup (PMRC)the PUBG MOBILE Japanese League (PMJL)in addition to the special invite to Vampire Esports following their excellent performance at last year’s mid-season tournament.

Teams were randomly drawn from the pools, starting at Pool 1 and ending at Pool 5 until all teams were assigned a group. Each group consists of eight teams that were filled one by one, starting with Group Red and ending with Group Yellow. If a majority of a team’s country representatives were already in the group, the team was placed in the next available group, ensuring broader regional representation at the event.

Now that the 24 teams have been assigned to their groups, the group stage begins, where teams will battle it out in their respective groups as they compete for their place in the event. The top 12 teams from the group stage will qualify for the main tournament, with the bottom 12 getting a second chance to stay in contention, while joining 4 other teams for the survival stage, who finished in 5th place during regional PMSL tournaments. This upcoming event will see the teams competing neck-and-neck to be among the top 4 and rejoin the others in the main draw.
