Quartu, a migrant, cuts himself with a knife and then hits a fellow countryman

The incident occurred on the morning of March 8, and involved a group of approximately 70 migrants residing at the hotel. For unknown reasons, an 18-year-old male migrant seized a knife and caused injuries to his arms. In an effort to restrain him, a 25-year-old migrant intervened and also sustained injuries. Upon being alerted to the incident, Carabinieri from the Quartu Company swiftly responded to the scene. Emergency services were also dispatched, and the two injured migrants were transported by ambulance to the Monserrato outpatient clinic with minor injuries. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.

Tension this morning in the Burranca hotel, via San Basilio in Quartu Sant’Elena, where about seventy migrants are being accommodated.

One of them, a young man of 18 years old, grabbed a knife and injured his arms for reasons yet to be clarified. Another 25-year-old migrant intervened to stop him and was also injured.

The Carabinieri of the Quartu Company immediately arrived on the scene and dealt with the case, as well as the 118 ambulances that transported the two injured people with a yellow code to the Monserrato outpatient clinic.
