The price of tourist packages has increased by 17.7% compared to last year, with hotel prices specifically increasing by 9.4%.
Since 2019, the cost of a hotel stay in Spain has increased by 36.5%, while the price of a beer is now 27.8% more expensive. Those looking to rent an apartment can expect to pay 27.7% more than five years ago, and eating out at a restaurant now costs more than 20% more.
Spanish news outlet Murcia Today reports that tourist accommodations in popular Spanish seaside resorts are expected to rise by an average of 7.3% this summer season. This equates to a nightly rate of 195 euros (or £164), up from 182 euros (£154).
