McClary’s move comes two days after former four-star running back commit Alvin Henderson flipped to Auburn. McClary, who is originally from New Jersey, committed to Penn State last September before deciding to join the Big Ten foe. McClary was the No. 25 linebacker in the country and the No. 4 player in New Jersey, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. McClary was also one of the top-rated players in Penn State’s 2025 recruiting class. McClary originally chose the Nittany Lions over Rutgers, Oregon, Michigan and Ohio State, but decided to flip nine months later. Before McClary’s flip, the Nittany Lions had the 10th-best class in the country.
