Job Description

The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for: * Developing and implementing a comprehensive basketball program that promotes the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes. * Recruiting and retaining talented student-athletes who meet academic and athletic standards. * Leading and coaching the team in all aspects of the sport, including practices, games, and competition. * Collaborating with the athletic department, administration, and community to support the program’s mission and goals. * Ensuring compliance with NCAA and conference regulations. * Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor, representing Daytona State College and the women’s basketball program with integrity.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. * Significant experience as a head coach at the NCAA Division II level or higher. * Proven ability to recruit, develop, and motivate student-athletes. * Strong knowledge of basketball strategy, tactics, and techniques. * Excellent leadership and communication skills. * Commitment to academic excellence and the holistic development of student-athletes. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
