The Lady Cardinals held on to their lead for dear life in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings, relying on the strong pitching of senior pitcher Brynn Jordan. Carmichaels threatened to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh, but Jordan struck out the final batter to secure the victory. Jordan was a force to be reckoned with in the championship game, striking out 13 Carmichaels batters and allowing only four hits.
