Boston College Baseball has received a commitment from Logan Dawson, a highly touted 2025 prospect from the Seal Beach Baseball Club in Southern California. In baseball, he has earned numerous accolades, including selections to the Rawlings-PG Preseason Underclassman All-American Teams in 2023 and 2024. He has also accumulated 16 All-Tournament Team honors, two Tournament Most Valuable Pitcher awards, five PG Super25 Championships, and two BCS Championships with the SJ Young Guns Select. During the summer, Dawson competed in the Perfect Game Super25 Mid-Atlantic Regional and the Northeast Super Qualifier. At the WWBA 2025 Grads of 16U National Championship, he showcased his impressive pitching repertoire, recording an 80-mph fastball, a curveball of 110 km/h, and a changeup of 120 km/h. Dawson has a fastball that has been clocked at 90 mph and a changeup that is considered to be one of the best in the country for his age group. He also has a developing curveball and a cutter. As a sophomore at St. John’s Prep, Dawson went 5-0 with a 0.68 ERA and 62 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched. He also batted .380 with 3 home runs and 25 RBIs.
