An Aurora woman has been charged with multiple offenses and faces a driving ban following a three-vehicle collision on Highway 48 in Georgina on Saturday evening. According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), a 34-year-old Aurora resident was driving under the influence of alcohol. A subsequent breathalyzer test revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was more than three times the legal limit. The woman has been charged with driving under the influence (DUI), speeding over 80 kilometers per hour, reckless driving, and being a novice driver with a BAC above zero. In addition to the DUI charge, the woman was also cited for speeding. Police said she was driving over 80 kilometers per hour in a posted 40 kilometer per hour zone. The woman was taken into custody and later released with a future court date. Her license has been suspended for 90 days. OPP said one person involved in the collision was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
