Johnstone, Scotland – Police in Johnstone have charged a teenager in connection with an incident that left a man seriously injured. On Wednesday evening, emergency services were called to a report of a man lying injured in the street on Pollock Street. The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. His condition is described as critical but stable. A 17-year-old male has been charged with assault to severe injury and danger of life. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday, March 2. Detective Constable Craig Watson of Johnstone CID said: “Our enquiries into this serious incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information to contact us. “Violence of this nature cannot be tolerated and we will continue to work to keep our communities safe.” Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
