One of the key components of the renovation is the development of a new, 300,000-square-foot concourse to accommodate additional flights and larger aircraft. This expansion will increase the airport’s gate capacity by more than 25%, providing carriers with more flexibility in scheduling flights. The project also includes the modernization of the airport’s infrastructure, including upgrades to electrical systems, plumbing, and baggage handling. These upgrades will improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance safety and security. In addition, the project will focus on sustainability and environmental impact reduction. The new terminal and concourse will incorporate energy-efficient LED lighting, water-saving fixtures, and a rooftop solar array.
