The suspect, described as a male wearing a ski mask, fled the scene on foot. “This was a senseless and horrific act of violence that has shaken our community to its core,” said Akron Police Chief Ken Ball. “We are committed to bringing the perpetrator to justice and ensuring that our residents feel safe in their homes.” Police have released surveillance footage of the suspect, who is seen entering and exiting the residence.
