Portland Police Seek Suspect in Double HomicidePortland Police Seek Suspect in Double Homicide Portland, OR – On the evening of August 12, 2023, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) responded to a report of a shooting in the Northeast Portland neighborhood of Irvington. Upon arrival, officers located two adult males deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The victims have been identified as 35-year-old John Doe and 28-year-old Jane Doe. Both victims were residents of the neighborhood. Investigators have determined that the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. Based on witness statements and physical evidence, a composite sketch of the suspect has been released. The suspect is described as: * Male * Hispanic or Middle Eastern * Approximately 5’8″ tall * 160-180 lbs * Dark hair and eyes * Thin mustache * Last seen wearing a black hoodie and dark pants The PPB Homicide Unit is actively investigating the incident and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the suspect. “We understand the community’s concern about this tragic event,” said Chief of Police Chuck Lovell. “We are committed to finding those responsible and bringing them to justice.” Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is urged to contact the PPB Homicide Unit at (503) 823-0400 or Crime Stoppers at (503) 823-HELP.
